Paradigm Showcase Tour Blog Hop!
I'm so excited to be part of this tour to celebrate the debut of Sarah Thomas' line, Paradigm, for Hoffman Fabrics. The design possibilities with these fabrics are endless - especially for one of my favorite things - fussy cutting! I created a brand new pattern just for the occasion.... Bright circles add so much fun to this design! Create finished-edge circles with fusible interfacing, or use fusible web for raw edge appliqué. Spice them up using a 60° equilateral triangle ruler to make kaleidoscope circles. Kwik Sparklers BOM - Month 4
WELCOME TO MONTH 4! This month we are playing off of the layout from Month 3 but we are making the diamond sets face outward. In the Alison Glass sample, I used 5 different fabrics, breaking up the arcs into 3 pieces and used 4 of those 5 for the Star in the middle. For the block to go with my Tasha Noel quilt, I used 4 fabrics (none of which are actually Tasha Noel). I left the arcs as one piece, but made 8 diamonds with a striped fabric and the remaining diamonds 2 other fabrics. Notice how the stars...
Sulky Block Party
I'm so excited to join the Sulky Block party with all of my friends! My daughter is quite smitten with Mandala designs, and I can see why. She shared with me that she wanted something that would complement her new couch, and when Sulky asked me if I could join the Block Party, I knew exactly what I wanted to do! Kwik Sparklers BOM - Month 3
WELCOME TO MONTH 3! This month we are playing with a completely different way to put the Kwik Sparkler pieces together - playing with light, medium, and dark fabrics to create movement. I am still waiting on Redux by Giucy-Giuce for Andover fabrics to be released, so Giuseppe is kindly making the sample for that block. Shown here are the blocks for the other two versions that I have done. Notice that although both samples used 3 fabrics, the diamonds were paired up differently and the finished block can be attached so that the negative space in the center looks like a “+” or...
Kwik Sparklers BOM - Month 2
WELCOME TO MONTH 2! This month we are making the Medallion layout of Kwik Sparklers. You can find the details for this layout in your Kwik Sparklers Pattern. When selecting fabrics for this block, think about how you envision everything tyingtogether. Since the Medallion is the centerpiece of your quilt, you have limitless possibilities with this block. Do you want to select one focus fabric that has all of the other colors you will be using in your quilt? Do you want to tie everything together for a cohesive look? Maybe you want to use the same fabric that you use in...
