WELCOME TO MONTH 1!  This month we’ll be creating the original layout of the Kwik Sparklers block. You can find it in the Kwik Sparklers Pattern. Choose one fabric or multiple fabrics to make your block. I encourage you to play with color and prints and make this block your own! Arc pieces can be cut from one fabric or you can split the arcs into 3 sections to give your block a scrappier look. My Favorite Needles for EPP

My favorite needles for English Paper PIecing (EPP) are Tulip Milliners, size 10 by Hiroshima Needle.  Many people say they bend, and they are not wrong - however, it is because of how you hold it, and that just means it fits your hand. Milliners come in sizes 1-10, with 1 being larger and 10 being finer.   Tulip uses an electrodeposition coating. According to their website:  "Electrodeposition coating is a process of forming a coating film by dipping an object in a bath filled with water-soluble paint and then passing an electric current through the coated object." One of the most amazing things about this EPP (English Paper Piecing) pattern is how many different ways it can be configured. This  quilt layout  has been in my head since the conception of this design.   At that time I pictured it in navy blue with a white medallion but all that changed when Alison Glass shared the fabrics in her Kaleidoscope line with me back in February. The Kaleidoscope fabrics are a woven shot cotton that feel fabulous.
